To get the correct messages from digital inputs provided by your vehicles, the inputs must be mapped correctly.
Symptom
The plugin is in a warning state due to the input and output service.
Cause
Errors in the logs section.
Solution
If the plugin is in a warning state due to the input and output service, refer to the logs in the following location for any errors and warnings:
- C:\Program Files(x86)\Security Center Plugins\GPS\GenetecIOService\Logs
- Authentication errors indicate the credentials used in step seven are incorrect.
- Not being able to register the http or port 443 end point errors indicate the unit needs to be rebooted
- If there are no errors or warnings in the logs, reboot the SVR.
Symptom
Digital inputs are being triggered by the wrong keys.
Cause
Digital inputs do not correspond to the correct keys.
Solution
- Right click on the GPS unit you want to troubleshoot, and clink Monitor entity.
- Drag down the analytics metadata pane in the Monitoring task.
- Verify whether the digital inputs correspond to the correct keys.
- Refer to Configuring digital inputs in the Vehicle Monitoring plugin.
