To update SharpOS, you must follow the required update path for the current software version of your Sharp unit.

SharpV update paths

For SharpV units, follow the update path based on the hardware version. You can identify the hardware version using the unit's part number.

SharpOS 14.0
  • Download the .gpack file and update to SharpOS 14.0.2.

SharpV G1 and G2

SharpOS 12.0 to 12.8 SR1
  1. Download the .zip file and update to SharpOS 13.2.1.
  2. To get important security fixes, download and install the .gpack file for the most recent platform update.
  3. Download the .gpack file and update to SharpOS 13.5.1.

SharpOS 13.2.0
  1. Download the .gpack file and update to SharpOS 13.2.1.
  2. To get important security fixes, download and install the .gpack file for the most recent platform update.
  3. Download the .gpack file and update to SharpOS 13.5.1.

SharpOS 13.2.1.2 and later
  1. To get important security fixes, download and install the .gpack file for the most recent platform update.
    NOTE: If the platform update fails with the error "Could not create the instruction.", install SharpOS 13.5.0, then try step 1 again.
  2. Download the .gpack file and update to SharpOS 13.5.1.

SharpZ3 update paths

Current SharpOS version Update path

SharpOS 13.0 or higher
  1. To get important security fixes, download and install the .gpack file for the most recent platform update.
  2. Download the .gpack file and update to SharpOS 13.4.0.
