With the three-unit server rack mount, you can mount up to three Cloud Link Roadrunner™ units on a server rack in the
enclosure.
What you should know
- The three-unit server rack mount fits 19-inch (482.6 mm) server racks and requires
one full-width rack unit (1U).
- Screws for securing the three-unit mount to the server rack are not provided. The
mounting flange holes accept screws up to M6 (¼-20).
- If you will not have access to the back of the unit after it is mounted because of
the enclosure configuration or mounting location, you can make the wire connections
to the terminals, then connect the terminals to the unit. Alternatively, you can
complete all of the wiring, then mount the Cloud Link Roadrunner unit.
Procedure
-
Attach a ground terminal to the side of the unit using one of the provided screws
(pan-head with integrated washer).
NOTE:
- Install the terminal between the screw head and the washer.
- Tighten the screw until the washer is compressed.
- The side of the unit has limited accessibility after installation.
-
Remove the two screws (pan-head with integrated washer) from the left side of the
unit.
IMPORTANT: Only remove the screws from one side of the unit at a time.
The screws secure the unit's cover to the chassis.
-
Attach a rack mount flange using two of the provided flat-head screws.
IMPORTANT: Ensure that the screws are fully tightened.
NOTE: The mounting flange is reversible.
-
Using the same instructions, attach a flange to the right side of the unit.
-
Slide the unit into the rack and secure it with the two pan-head screws. Tighten
the screws until the integrated washers are compressed.
