The Medeco XT plugin imports your Medeco XT Intelligent keys, cylinders, and programming stations into Security Center so that you can manage access rules and investigate access events.
Administrator tasks using Config Tool
You can use the plugin to do
the following:
- Connect to Medeco USB programming station.
- Import keys (credentials) and cylinders (locks) into Security Center using Medeco codebooks.
- Define and upload access rules to keys.
- Manage Medeco XT keys (credentials); including assigning and unassigning keys to cardholders, viewing status, and changing operating mode, revalidation period, and expiration date.
- Link Security Center cameras to Medeco XT cylinders.
- Set up a standby plugin role in case the primary expansion server that hosts the plugin role fails.
Operator tasks using Security Desk
- Manage Medeco XT keys (credentials); including assigning and unassigning keys to cardholders, viewing status, and changing operating mode, revalidation period, and expiration date.
- Download the audit logs of access events.
- Investigate access events using Security Center reports.
- View associated video related to Medeco access events from reports.
- Blocklist keys to deactivate them.
