You can upgrade Genetec™ Receiver extension from version 3.1 directly to version 3.2.0.

Before you begin

  1. Read the release notes to learn about important information for this release.
  2. Confirm that your version of Security Center and the Receiver extension are compatible.

What you should know

  • You can upgrade directly from any earlier version to the latest version.
  • The plugin must be upgraded on all Security Center client and server computers.
  • An upgrade keeps your current entities and their configuration, and all event notifications.
  • The Directory database contains all your entities.
  • The Intrusion Manager database contains all your event notifications.

Procedure

  1. Stop the Genetec Server service, and then close Security Desk and Config Tool.
  2. Install the latest version of the plugin.
  3. Deactivate the Intrusion Manager role, and then activate it.
    The extension is ready for use.
