To facilitate investigations, you can link multiple search conditions together by
creating groups of conditions.
Procedure
-
In the Filters section of the task, click the Add () button and select
Group.
-
In the Edit condition group dialog box, enter a name for the
condition group.
-
From the Condition applied within the group list, select an
operator.
- Choices include Or or And.
-
From the Condition applied with other groups list, select
Include or Exclude.
-
Press OK.
The condition group is nested under the main search filter.
-
Add the search conditions that you want to apply to the group.
Example
John Smith is an employee in a department store. He works in both the clothing and
sports departments. To generate a report that contains all transactions that he made in the
month of October 2020 for jackets worth more than $200 in both the clothing and sports
departments, you would add the filters below:
Data type |

You want to compare the sales he made last year. To do this, you can create a condition
group that uses
And as a search operator, and
Include as a
Condition applied with other
groups. You would then select that group from the
Filters
section and apply the following search conditions:

10/01/2019 12:00:00 AM to 10/31/2019 11:59:59 PM |
