You can use the Perimeter protection scenario to detect when people cross a defined perimeter, such as a fenced area.
This scenario is designed for monitoring movement in small areas, from one defined
region to another. False events are triggered less frequently with the Perimeter protection scenario than with the Area protection scenario because the motion that triggers the
detection is more limited.
Area settings
Perimeter protection is the only scenario type where an area must consist of a source
region, a transport region, and an alarm region.
NOTE: You do not need to define paths
because alerts are triggered by movement through the three defined regions in a
specific order.
The movement begins in the green source region (entry point), travels through
the yellow transport region, and ends in the red alarm region (exit
point).
