To avoid a long synchronization the first time you run the deister proxSafe plugin, you can edit a config file to limit the number of entries to be imported.

What you should know

  • Security Center imports audits from deister proxSafe and saves them in the local plugin database to speed up report generation. For large pre-existing installations, this could cause an extremely long import the first time you launch the plugin.
  • Setting this value for event polling affects the first synchronization only.

Procedure

  1. On the workstation where the plugin is installed, open Windows Explorer, navigate to Program Files (x86)\Security Center Plugins\proxSafe, and then open Genetec.Plugins.LockersPlugin.Server.dll.config in a text editor.
  2. Edit the number of days in the line <add key="EventFetchStartFromTheLastDays" value="90"/>.

deister proxSafe server config file with polling line highlighted.
NOTE: The fewer days that you configure, the faster the first import is.
  3. Save and close the config file.
NOTE: If you have failover enabled, update the config file on each server.
