Features such as Automated scans and Scan upon Definition Update can put a strain on your system resources. Network monitoring or firewall services bundled with your antivirus software can block traffic on your network. These features and services might need to be disabled to ensure that Security Center is running optimally. If you are experiencing these issues, contact Technical Support.

See your antivirus manufacturer for more information about configuring exclusions.
