If you chose to connect to the OPC UA servers using certificates, you must configure the certificates on the OPC UA server's Properties page.

Procedure

  1. From the Plugins task's entity browser, select the OPC UA server you enrolled.
  2. Click the Properties tab.
  3. Under the Protocol section, click View certificate in the Server certificate field.

  4. Verify the information on the certificate and click Trust > Close.
The server certificate is now trusted and the plugin successfully connects to the server.
  5. If you have a second server assigned to your OPC device, trust its certificate as well.
  6. In the Scheme drop-down list, select Certificate.
  7. In the Certificate usage field, you can use a self-signed certificate or a trusted store certificate.
    Select one of the following:
    Self-signed certificate
It is the default mode of certificate usage.
