If you want to trigger event-to-actions for the armed or disarmed events reported by an area on a panel, you can assign a custom event to them directly from the Areas page. You can assign custom events to the armed and disarmed events so that you can create event-to-actions that help your operators respond more effectively.

Before you begin

  • Add required custom events and event-to-actions in Security Center.
  • Get the ID number of the custom events you need.

What you should know

Most of the events coming from a panel are mapped to native Security Center events. For example, an area armed event is logged in Security Center as Intrusion detection area arming.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Intrusion detection task.
  2. Expand the Intrusion Manager role from the entity browser, and then select the intrusion detection unit you want to configure.
  3. Click the Areas tab, and select an area from the list.
  4. In the Custom Events section, enter the ID number of a custom event.
  5. Click Apply.
