To integrate Otis CompassPlus™ Destination Management systems in Security Center, you must install the Otis Compass plugin as part of your Security Center system.
Before you begin
- Your server meets the recommended system requirements.
- A compatible version of Security Center is installed.
What you should know
- Although it is possible to host the plugin role on any server, it is a best practice to host that role on a dedicated expansion server for best system performance.
- For your operators to have access to the features added by this plugin, you must install this plugin on all Security Center client workstations.
- Install the Otis Compass plugin on any Federation™ hosts from which you want to monitor Otis CompassPlus™ Destination Management system.
- If you are federating a Security Center system, you must install the Otis Compass plugin on the Federation™ host.

After you finish
- As the server that you installed the Otis Compass plugin on has multiple network interface cards (NIC), you must add a network route for multicast traffic.
- Schedule database backup and cleanup.
- Grant user privileges.
- Create the Otis Compass plugin role.
