To receive transaction data from a point-of-sale system, you must provide the listening port used by the plugin.

Before you begin

Create the plugin role.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Plugins task.
  2. In the Plugins task, select the plugin role from the entity browser, and click the Properties tab.
  3. In the Connection section, enter the port number of the plugin listening service.
Port 443 is used by default.
  4. If you have multiple Transaction Finder plugin roles that connect to the same Elasticsearch database:
    1. Choose a single plugin role to collect transactions by turning on Make this role the data server.
    2. For the other plugin roles, turn off Make this role the data server.
NOTE: Make sure that only one plugin role is the data server. If multiple plugin roles have this setting enabled, you get duplicate transactions in the reports.
  5. (Optional) If the parser is local, choose when the plugin attempts to restart the parser if it fails. The default is 60 seconds.
NOTE: When the parser is unreachable, the plugin displays a warning message in its diagnostic window to indicate that the parser is offline, and the parser entity changes to a warning state (yellow).
  6. Click Apply.
