To facilitate the location of specific transaction data, you can apply search conditions to filter the data.

What you should know

  • Transaction data is made up of the following categories: Transaction, Items, People, and Time. Each category has a number of data types that can be searched for.
  • You can search for multiple categories and terms.
  • Special characters are allowed.

Procedure

  1. In the Filters section of the Transactions task, click the Add () button, and then select Condition.
  2. In the Add condition dialog box, do the following:
    1. Select a data type.
    2. Select an operator.
    3. Enter the value you want to find.
    For case-sensitive search queries, select Match case.

  3. Press OK.

Results

The search conditions are displayed in the Filters.

Example

John Smith is an employee in the clothing and sports departments of a store. To generate a report that contains all transactions that he made in October 2019 for jackets worth more than $200, you would add the filters below:
