If you cannot connect a SharpZ3 to Genetec Patroller™, you can troubleshoot the issue.

Before you begin

Follow the steps for connecting a SharpZ3 unit to Genetec Patroller™. For more information, see Connecting mobile Sharp units to Genetec Patroller™.

Procedure

  1. Verify that you can ping the SharpZ3 unit.
  2. Verify that the SharpZ3 extension is set to Patroller. For more information, see Configuring where the SharpZ3 sends its ALPR data.
  3. Verify that the SharpZ3 unit network settings have been properly configured. For more information, see About SharpZ3 network settings.
  4. Verify that the SharpZ3 time is synchronized with the Patroller in-vehicle server. For more information, see Synchronizing the SharpZ3 clock in the SharpOS 13.4 Sharp Portal.
