Upgrading the secondary server using Genetec™ Update Service requires some manual steps.

Cause

GUS helps you do an upgrade of the secondary server, but some manual steps are required.

Solution

To update, do the following:
  1. Stop Genetec™ Server on your Secondary Server.
  2. Upgrade your Directory (manually or using GUS).
  3. Upgrade your license and make sure that your system is up.
  4. Start Genetec Server on your Secondary Server.
  5. Upgrade your Secondary Server (manually or using GUS).
  6. Upgrade your license. Modify the license for all servers in Config Tool.
