Before target creations can be triggered when native Security Center events or custom events are generated, you must create the Genetec™ tracking system to listen to those events.
Before you begin
- Create and configure the
Genetec™ driver macro.NOTE: The Genetec™ driver macro is required to generate the RSA Generic Event when you want to use native Security Center events to create RSA targets. The macro is not used if you want to trigger target creations from custom events, but it is required to create the Genetec™ tracking system.
- The Map or Advanced license package is required to create the Genetec™ tracking system.
- Create a georeferenced map in Security Center.
What you should know
- If you have tracking devices integrated in Security Center through plugins other than RSA Surveillance, you can configure the Genetec™ tracking system to create targets from the custom events of the other plugins.
- You can only create one Genetec™ tracking system per Security Center system.
Procedure
Results
- The tracking system is listed in the Area view entity tree.
- Event-to-actions are created based on the native Security Center events configured in the
tracking system's specific configuration. The event-to-actions are listed in the
System task, in .NOTE: If you modify the source or event in the event-to-actions from the System task, the specific configuration on the tracking system's Properties page does is not updated.
If you modify the source or event in the specific configuration on the tracking system's Properties page, the event-to-action is updated in the System task.
- If you only added custom events in the tracking system's specific configuration, target creations will be triggered when the custom events are triggered. No event-to-actions are created.
