An access request workflow is a series of activities associated with an access request. These activities are performed by the system or authorized people during the life cycle of an access request. The activities can change the access request state and properties, affect other entities in the system, or wait for a condition to become true.
The workflow helps automate access request tasks, such as approving or rejecting access
requests, so that people involved in the review and approval process can focus on other
tasks.
The following diagram illustrates the access request workflow that occurs in Genetec ClearID™ and Synergis™.
1 (Optional) Supervisor approval can be enabled for the area.
2 (Optional) Area approval can be enabled for the area.
NOTE: By default, access requests are limited to the minimum access required. This limits
what a user can do with an access card.
