To inform users about specific events in the Genetec ClearID™ system, email notifications are sent.

Email notifications are triggered and sent for the following situations:

Email notification Notification recipients
Access for an identity
Account is created for an identity 1 Identity - Administrators only
Area access request for an identity is submitted Identity requester
Area access request for an identity is canceled Identity requester, area approvers, and area owners
Area access request for an identity requires approval or deny Depending on workflow settings:
  • Supervisor and or area approver
  • No email if auto approved
Area access request for an identity is approved or denied Identity and area owners

(Submitter and Access for requester if they are different)

Area access for an identity is granted Identity and their supervisor
Area access for an identity is revoked (or expired)2 Identity and their supervisor
Access for a role
Access request submitted for a role Requester (requester is one of the role managers)
Area access request for a role requires approve or deny Access request requires approve or deny from Supervisors:
  • Denied: All role managers get email
Access request requires approve or deny from Area approvers:
  • Denied: All role managers get email
  • Approved: All role managers get email
Area access request for a role is approved or denied Approved by Supervisor:
  • Area approvers get email
Denied by Supervisor:
  • All role managers get email
Area access granted for role After an area approver approved or if the area is set to automatically approve:
  • Sent to all role managers
After the role is granted access to an area manually:
  • Sent to all role managers
Area access revoked for a role All role managers get email
Identity added to role membership Identity - notifications are configurable in the role
Identity removed from role membership Identity - notifications are configurable in the role
Identity requests
Identity requested Requester
Depending on the approval workflow configured in the identity template:
  • Supervisors
  • Identity approver
NOTE: If one of the requested identities is canceled, all the configured approvers are added to the .cc list in the email notification for identity request approval and completion titled: "Identity request for identity has been updated".
Visit events
Visit created Requester and hosts
Visit requires approve or deny Depending on workflow settings:
  • Supervisors
  • No email if auto approved
Visit approved or denied Requester and hosts
Visitor confirmation Visitors get an email if their visit is approved
Visit request requires approve or deny Depending on the visitor management workflow for each setting in each area:
  • Area or visit approvers for all areas listed in visit
  • No email if auto approved
Visitor checked-in Hosts
Visitor watchlist alert (notify or block) If a person of interest or company of interest from the watchlist is triggered
  • Watchlist manager
Access reviews
Access review pending Area approver and role manager
IMPORTANT: 1 If a corporate log on (single sign-on using Microsoft Office 365 or similar) is used, the account is automatically activated and no activation email is received.

2Access expired emails are sent at midnight based on the time zone specified for the site.

Email notifications are sent from noreply@clearid.io. If you do not receive email notifications in either your Inbox or Spam (Junk) folders, contact your account administrator.
